HOMETOWN FEEL
Downtown Glenside, called Keswick Village, has all the quintessential stops you’d want in a main street! From the family-owned deli, to breweries and bistros, to ice cream, coffee, and pizza shops, Glenside has something for everyone. Don’t forget to stop by the Keswick Theater, a Tudor style theater from the 1920’s, for a show!
STUNNING 19th CENTURY ARCHITECTURE
The nearby Curtis Hall can be found on the National Register of Historic Places, built in 1893 for the estate of Cyrus Curtis and now used as a venue for large events including weddings. The hall is surrounded by a vast 45 acre arboretum created by the Olmsted Brothers, sons of Frederick Law Olmsted, the landscape architect responsible for the creation of Central Park in New York City. Glenside is also home to University of Arcadia and Grey Towers Castle, another National Historic Landmark, which provides scenic views and reminds residents of the town’s rich history dating back to the early 19th century.
ACCESS PHILADELPHIA
Just outside the city limits, Philadelphia is easily accessible from Glenside. Located at the north end of downtown, the Glenside train station is one of Septa’s busiest stations with two major train lines running through it multiple times a day. There are also several Septa bus stations easily accessible to Glenside residents. If driving is a priority, Glenside is nestled between routes 309 and 611 that can take you north to the Pennsylvania Turnpike or south to Philadelphia.
