AMBLER THEATERS, ARTS & MUSIC

Ambler is home to the famed Ambler Theater, hosting movies and events for the town since 1928.  The venue is a community based theater that specializes in independent, art, and foreign films. Ambler is also home to the Act II playhouse, a world class theater producing  original, classic, and contemporary shows.  The playhouse draws a wide variety of audiences with its plays, musicals, and cabarets in its intimate venue.  In addition to these two destinations, Ambler is also home to dance studios, choral societies, and the Ambler Symphony Orchestra.

Ambler hosts beautiful neighborhoods perfect for families at any stage.  Ambler’s central location also provides access to a number of prestigious universities.  Just a short drive from downtown Ambler is the Temple University Ambler Campus; Gwynedd Mercy University, La Salle University, Chestnut Hill College and others are also easily accessible from Ambler.

Ambler provides easy access to numerous parks, trails, athletic fields, and golf courses.  The area is bordered by the sprawling Fort Washington State Park where you can hike, fish, watch for wildlife, go on a picnic, play softball or disc golf.  The area also grants easy access to Wissahickon trails which are great for hiking or running.
